This project consists of images made in the background of cityscape and inside the urban space. The snapshots are captures of still life, which stand pendulous between imagination and reality. They depict insignificant details which have the ambition to be part of the bigger puzzle and add their contribution to the general picture of our living postmodern condition.
The buildings, despite their descent from different places and cultural backgrounds, they carry characteristics of global urban architecture which one can easily recognize. They have been transformed so as not to be seen under the façade of a postmodern condition which minimizes identities and sociopolitical differences. They are objects isolated from their common ambient and are seen as items carrying multi diverse identities. |

100 days in Beijing and other provinces of China my lens captured daily engagements of a nation in constant movement. China is very much on the center, mainly because of its financial booming. This project is about people behind the stereotypical image. It includes daily snapshots of street photography where reality is fading between habits of a routine and substances of a dream. |

Portraits of people i know, I knew or I just randomly met. Talkative gazes, extractions of moments that i choose to make mine. Just portraits. Really, how much interest do people have in random portraits?, do they project themselves upon faces which they confront? Or its only me that i still do it? |

My works are resultant of wanderings. As wanders never end, mine stem from everything that attracts my attention in every day's reality process and progress. With the latter, I mean the long term existence of situations and news that build up the notion of "daily life", a basic ingredient of our long term existence. Work of mine can become basically everything capable to make me have a daily brainstorm.
I extract the subjects from very intimate and personal environments, as well as from places where I live for shorter or longer period of time.I find tempting to be engaged with people and places, which host me every time. This is because of the challenge to translate each characteristic of every new situation according to my personal view of understanding their purpose of existence.Under the simple and concrete sentence that, I photograph because like that, I have a better understanding for my world around me, one can say that my work serves as a basis for my personal hegemony of templates.
However, if my personal motives are capable to communicate their meaning in others people sphere of interest, then I would be more than happy to admit that my work enters as such into the art discipline.
I think you also need to know that,
Time is very crucial for my work, creates the space for the left over seeds to grow.
I need to be aware of my environment, its belongings and their surroundings.
I need to be aware of you, then to get to know you and then to explore you; and with you to departure for my trip of new presentations.
I like to see you transforming, changing into another being in front of my external eyes. I like to be surprised by you.
I do witness your transformation and I am witnessing your deception. But I really love this deception exactly because it surrounds you with a mystery.
